The Rubies Collection

Em and Roz were commissioned to make a 100 earrings and pendants which were to be given as a gift to each guest at the launch of Rubies, the Blue Sky/Club Oasis women's ministry. The brief was to create pieces which had an identifiable theme, so that when the jewellery was worn, people would immediately recognise it as a piece from the Rubies Collection.

We selected a luxe gold theme, and teamed Czech glass crystals and beads with a spray of brass flowers as a signature piece. Each piece was lovingly handcrafted, and no two pieces are the same. Here's a selection of some of the pieces we came up with...

Just a shout-out to everyone who supported Random Frill at the Rubies launch party last Saturday night by checking out our little display, buying stuff and being so encouraging. We were very touched =)

Twisted Ming Earrings -Em

Japanese patterned bead, ceramic bead, brass bead with embossed detail, fire-polished crystals.

Dignified Princess Earrings - Em

Glass beads and freshwater pearls on silver plated hooks. (Perfect for everyday wear!)

Glamourpuss Earrings - Em

Crystals, glass beads, freshwater pearls with gold chains and brass stamped leaf.

(To give you some idea, the chains hang about 10cm past my shoulder.)

Oriental Lantern Earrings - Em

Assymetric earrings - resin shapes, brass beads, ceramic beads with hand painted detailling, gold plated fringe and Swarovski crystal

Assymetric earrings - gold plated chains, funky gold beads and a brass stamped leaf

On hiatus

Dear ardent Ranfom Frill Fans,

No, we haven't closed shop! We're just on hiatus for a bit, picking up inspiration for more designs, stirring those creative juices and, oh yeah, finishing off our law degrees and trying to find full time jobs!
